About Us

Enjoy a panoramic view of Lake Ontario from your front porch. Enjoy a side view of Sodus Bay from your living room. Come to relax, fish, walk the beach or play in the water. NY State parklands are nearby for hiking and enjoyment.

My sister & I grew up here and we welcome families with children of all ages.

Bring along your own canoe or boat or use our canoes & kayaks to explore the lake & bay. You can also rent a rowboat from one of the local bait shops. A dock is available for you to tie your boat up to. If you bring your own boat, you can launch it at many of the local marinas or bait shops.

Fish from the beach or from the rocks under the bluff. Have you found any SeaGlass lately?

Although the ‘Acorn’ is directly on the beach, parking is close and you can walk, up the steps, to your car at your convenience.

Someone once told us. . . “When you come into the country, come to enjoy the country. Please come into the country to leave the city behind.”

Payment accepted by credit card, Pay Pal, or by check.

Come, bring your swim suits, food, watch the sunset & enjoy this scenic retreat. Just let us know when.

Year Purchased: 1941

My wife grew up on one of the 3 islands on Sodus Bay. My sister & I grew up using this cottage and we all have an understanding and love of the bay and lake.

This cottage has been in the family since the 1940’s and was completely rebuilt about 1990 as a result of a fire that destroyed 3 cottages.

With the lake and bay on 3 sides and state wildlife parklands out back, this area is uniquely quiet and peaceful.

Due to damage from the high water of 2017 and 2019, we are closed for the 2020 season. We hope to see you next year!
